About NutriFreeze
NutriFreeze was founded in 2000 by Dr Chris Kennedy. Chris had
worked for many years in University Physics departments developing
refrigeration and thermometry techniques. Prior to founding
NutriFreeze he was a senior lecturer in Food Process Technology at
the University of Leeds.
Chris is a member of the Institute of Refrigeration, The
Institute of Food Science and Technology and the Institute of
Physics.
Working Practice.
Working with NutriFreeze you will receive a professional and
confidential service.
I aim to ensure that all work performed is of the highest
standard and is reported in an easy to understand jargon-free
format.
Our services are charged by the hour or day and we present
detailed invoices so that you can be assured that you receive value

Refrigeration
"I began my career working in cryogenics and Low
temperature Physics. I was the research student on the Group at
Lancaster University who set the world record for the lowest
temperature achieved in 1984.
After my PhD I moved around the world working with
cryogenic refrigerators at universities in Bayreuth W. Germany, UC
Berkeley, U.S.A, Copenhagen, Denmark as well as spending a period
back at Lancaster.
Since 1993 I have been working on "higher"
temperature refrigerators for the chilling and freezing of foods and
other perishable products

Food Science
In 1993 I founded the BioFreeze unit at York
University to perform research and development projects with
industrial partners in the field of Food refrigeration.
I moved BioFreeze to The Proctor dept of Food
Science ant the University of Leeds in 1996 where I worked as a
senior lecturer in Food Science and technology.
BioFreeze specialised in the development of new
chilling and freezing techniques, and the transport of refrigerated
foods. At Leeds I co-ordinated a European concerted action on the
cold chain and edited Managing Frozen Foods which is published by
Woodhead Publishing.
Other documents produced at that time are
available on
this web site.
Software Development
Throughout my career I have written and used
computer models for the analysis of processes and results. I
specialise in the use of VB.Net software to write custom
applications to assist clients in the efficient development and
operation of their processes.
